Nun, derzeit sieht es so aus:

Ich logge mich auf einer Konsole ein, bekomme die Meldung "New screen
..." und es geht los. Dann gehe ich auf die nächste Konsole, logge mich
dort ein, und sitze im alten Screen. Was ich dort tippe, passiert auch
im anderen Screen. Allerdings habe ich vorhin gesehen, daß ich die
Screen-Fenster unabhängig von den Konsolen wechseln kann. Damit könnte
ich schon fast leben.

Es hilft nicht. Jedenfalls nicht beim Farbenproblem. Und wenn ich
"TERM=linux" setze, was bei der Bash als Login-Shell beispielsweise der
Fall ist, kann ich zwar die Farbe mit "setterm -foreground green -store"
setzen, aber komischerweise vergißt er sie sofort wieder, etwa, wenn ich
den mc starte. Und selbst, wenn ich ihn wieder beende, wird die Farbe
nicht wieder gesetzt.

Das neue XFree 4.2.irgendwas loggt netterweise etwas mehr als das
bisherige. Neuerdings bietet es Informationen zur Grafikkarte.

Wenn sie von IBM sind, schon. Die haben PS/2 in den 70ern und 80ern
ja entwickelt und in ihre PCs eingebaut. Ende der 80er geriet PS/2 in
Vergessenheit. Warum sie es jetzt wieder ausgraben, weiß ich auch
nicht.
